Development of a customer platform for easy administration and monitoring of transports

Full transparency in logistics

Our sister company and customer - the company Förster Transporte based in Groß-Enzersdorf - was looking for a portal that could be used to map interactions with business partners in the field of deep freeze and forklift transport. The platform was to integrate seamlessly into the existing transport management system (Carlo from Soloplan) and pass on real-time information on transports to customers.

We got to work and implemented a platform based on the framework "ASPnet Boilerplate". By using the framework, we were able to offer cost-effective, scalable, extensible and secure software. The platform uses its own database to store internal data, but integrates seamlessly with other transport management systems, for example to display data on the current transport status. Fredi is multi-tenant capable, whereby each customer of the logistics provider receives its own tenant. This tenant has its own user base and can be configured to the individual requirements of the customer. 

Meanwhile Fredi has grown to a set of tools, which are united under one platform. Among the main functions of the platform are: 

  • Offer and order entry with instant price feedback

  • Track'n'Trace for existing orders, including display of the estimated time of arrival, billing information, contact data for dispatchers and drivers, receipt query

  • Billing overview for convenient download of invoices and the corresponding delivery notes and evaluations

  • Business Intelligence module, which allows customers to create individual analyses, which can also be subscribed to by e-mail

  • An advice module for automatic notification of senders and recipients about the collection or delivery of goods via SMS and e-mail

  • A separate administration interface for the administrators of the logistics provider's customers, in which users can be defined and individual preferences can be set

In addition, when logging into the system, users receive an overview of current transport processes and the company's most important logistics key figures. The project was implemented in such a way that a change of the transport management system would be possible.
